Motherhood

So, in the past I've heard of mothers who cry when their child gets shots, whenever I would hear this somewhere inside of me my inner eye would roll, just a little. I mean kids cry a lot don't they, and they have to get shots, it is good for them, so no big deal right. Well, I am one of those mothers that has to leave the room, or if not I am there crying too. Pathetic I know, but it is just so sad to hear her "in pain" cry. Thus, here is my apology for any one who told me they couldn't handle their child's shots.

and here are a few pictures that I need to clean of my camera.

Evie likes to sleep on her side, she is also rolling over a little, and falling asleep while doing so.

This is her trying to squirm somewhere different, she was previously completely on the blanket.

This is right after she just rolled all the way over, including getting over the great obstacle, her arm. And check out her cool hair, awesome huh.

And here are my siblings and Grandma, we are celebrating her 95th birthday.

Randomnemities

So here is this past week wrapped up.
Couch we got half of it (it's a sectional), how does their warehouse only have half of a sectional?
SexyModest So there is this store called sexy/modest and I wondered what on earth do they sell it sounds like an oxymoron right? Well I had to check it out and I would have titled it preppy/modest
Culture speaking of dressing preppy we currently moved where I am pretty sure families around here walked out of a clothing magazine. It is going to take me forever to get any neighbors names memorized because everyone looks the same to me.
Not Logan I have totally been missing Logan this week. The cooler weather, deer, Dr. M., being an hour away from Bear Lake, and friends.
Evie is starting to smile it is heart melting, and she likes to suck on her fingers and pull her hair.

Hair

Well here it is after spending the past couple of months with my hair in a pony tail I have decided it should just be shorter. So, I found this awesome site to "try on a few styles" What do you think? I am considering the last one.

Coming Soon

1. Pictures of Evie, just as soon as I find what box the batteries were in so I can replace the dead ones in the camera.
2. A couch, just as soon as we feel secure in spending that amount of money right after having a baby.
3. Pictures of our awesome new place. (reason, see number 1.)
4. New Hobbies, that is after I do something other than watch TV shows online and catch up on reading books that I've been meaning to get to.
5. Sleep, ...... .. . Just kidding, she usually sleeps 6 to 7 hours a night then for 3 or 4 more hours after that. (neener neener neener)

Soothings

First of all we didn't go with the popular vote which was Ella, Instead we named her Eve (or Evie which spelling do you like?) Here are some random pictures.

So, the other night I was trying to feed her and she was fussing a bit, Jared fell asleep and started snoring, (he is pretty fast at falling asleep these days) immediately Eve calmed down, a couple minutes later Jared stopped snoring and she started fussing again... what happened a few minutes after? J started snoring again and she was again soothed. I guess this just goes to show that sounds that were familiar to her before she was born are still a comfort for her.

Hello World

Here is our beautiful baby. Born exactly on her due date, 6 lbs. 9 oz. and 19.5 inches long. It is still sinking in for us that we are parents,

but we are enjoying the experience immensely (other than having to hold her while they draw her blood).

So I remember the showers and getting clothes for her they all looked so small, and I wondered if she would get a chance to wear any of them. Well the above outfit is the smallest one we got that a relative made and it fits the best.

She is not a fan of her arch-nemesis the car seat. While she does look cute riding in it she does not like being in it.

After a long hard day of being cute she still looks adorable when sleeping. She is truly our sweetheart.

A baby in my shirt

So, yes I am 8 months pregnant. I also am in the primary in church, so I help in teaching the kids. This Sunday I found myself giving one boy in particular special attention (you know going to class and such, not sitting in the hall). I think I am pretty lenient when it comes to kids, I don't expect them to do any more than adults would do, so if they are talking quietly, fine, if they are standing quietly, no problem, I've taught adults and they don't sit quietly and look at the teacher, why should I constantly prod the kids to do the same? Anyway, I found myself behind a class where the aforementioned boy was residing (not necessarily quietly) and had the following conversation
Girl: Is that your first baby (she has 4 younger siblings, she knows what is going on)?
Me: Yes. (short and truthful)
Boy: What baby?
Girl: (pointing to my belly) That one.
Boy: There's a baby in your shirt?!?
Me: ... (technically)
Girl: Not her shirt her belly.
Me: (is a response necessary?)
Boy: So it's like alive but not.
Me: Shhhhh.. turn around and listen. (who controls these children oh yeah supposedly me for two hours)
