Version 2.0 and Yardwork

For those of you who may have known and those of you who did not know we have a new addition to our family. Meet our dear little boy. As is the case with most babies he is fulfilling every iota of his job. He is a good eater, he is a good sleeper, and my wardrobe will never be the same.

Thus far Evie and Sam have had some encounters and I don't think either is quite sure about each other. Although big sister is certainly trying to be a "helpful" as she can.

Here are a couple cute pictures of him.

It was nice to have Dad here for a week to help Mom with the transition to having two kids although some how help with the kids transitioned into yard work but it did keep Evie occupied. She has had a lot of fun "working" with Dad in the yard..

She pulled some leaves off of weeds ...

taught Dad some new improved mulching techniques...

and taught Dad a thing or too about proper mowing technique.

As any good worker knows when the work is done it is time to relax. I'd say that Evie has the right idea but I think at the moment a good night sleep would be nice.

Words, Words, Words

Hi Reader,
I haven't charged the batteries in the camera, thus no blog because there aren't any cute pictures that I have to post.  I have learned a few things lately so here you get my thoughts instead of cute Evie pictures.
1.  A sick Evie is WAY different than an Evie that feels well.  She got sick and I forgot that she is such a lively happy girl, I guess I forgot some time in that week of cuddling her on the couch day and night. (Speaking of nights I think part of her was reminding us not to get to comfortable sleeping through the night).
2. How to entertain a toddler:  Get large box, insert the following items: blanket, stuffed animal, book, tea set, and child.  It was awesome.  She read the book to her Simba, "fed" him, danced with him, and "took a nap".
3. It is cheaper for us to deliver a baby than it is for me to hear,  but I am so blessed that we can pay for both, and I know that a baby is more than just upfront costs that have to be paid (yes I know the grammar is wrong here).
4.  Today is week 33 of pregnancy 2 (have I mentioned that? it is a boy) anyway, an aunt asked me a while back if I had forgotten what it felt like to be pregnant and give birth and if I was ready to have another baby.  The answer, Yes, I think it is a survival technique that women forget some things (by some women I mean me).

Have a great day, if you need me I'll be in a box taking a nap.

Christmas

Hi, remember us.  Well, Christmas time came and it was awesome.
Evie was a lot more aware of things this year and squealed at having new toys.
Here she is with her kitchen set (I have a few blurry pictures of her with this).
Yes, she is in the shopping cart on the phone cooking something.
 Grinning for the camera.
And in her new dress with her hamster in a ball.

So I realize that it is now December but here are some pics from Halloween. We did decide that sharp knives and toddlers are not a good combination so we let Evie paint her pumpkin.

She loved painting her pumpkin although she does not look really happy in this picture.

Color mixing requires intense concentration. Especially when you just ate some paint.

Evie decided to help us scrape out our pumpkins and she also decided when we had scraped enough stuff out of our pumpkins. Meaning that she picked up her favorite pieces of pumpkin guts and tried to put them back in the pumpkins.

Here are our Jack-o-Lanterns.

Evie loved runnning around the house in her Halloween costume. She was a ballerina forHalloween and most of the week after.

A week in October

Here are the pictures that are new on our camera this week.  As you can see Evie got a hold of the camera and has been trying her hand at taking pictures.

There were more pictures by Evie but I decided that the others weren't as interesting as the corner of the wall here.
Blowing raspberries on the mirror (oh, after she pulled the mirror off the wall.
I know she is cute and needs a hair cut or someone to do her hair.

Too cute

We had to get a video of this. It is so cute. Future Evie blame this one on your mother.

By the way, the song in the background is the theme song to Psych. Our poor messed up child.
