Half Years

We go some great photos of Sam that were very cute.  Thanks to Aunt Megan for capturing the cuteness. It was quite the job keeping his attention with his big sister trying to photo bomb the pictures.

In our family we have non-morning people and Jared. This is my child.

This is my child next to a Jared's child.

We went and picked pumpkins for Halloween, I think Jared's child enjoyed it.

She did love riding the horse though.  She has been asking to ride a horse for a few weeks now, and has had to make do with pretending the dragon was a horse.  This was obviously more fun.

Jared's child also rode the "train".

Jared's child painting her pumpkin (no I don't know why she is wearing a sleeping mask on her head).

My child loves playing the piano,  He is getting pretty good at it too.

Definitely Jared's child.

Planes, Tricks, and Um.. Stairways

The hardest part of blogging is facing the most dreaded part, writing the opening sentence. I think that this photo of Evie sums up my feelings of writing the Blog.

Anyone who has read the blog knows that our daughter is no stranger to crazy faces but this one has to be one of the most original faces that I have seen in a long time.

Our son on the other hand find great pleasure in seeing what his zany sister is up too.

We took a trip to Trafalga and Evie loved riding on the planes. She rode them a total of five times and when we decided to do something else she came quietly meaning that most of Utah County got to hear her scream.

Evie made a bouquet from the only plants we can grow in our yard, dandelions. While she looked cute carrying these around she sure has not helped the over all dandelion problem.

Evie Has been "sharing' with Sam meaning that after she is done with some thing she lets Sam play with it. That is why he ended up with the DS. He thought that it was a great thing to try and eat.

Evie has been learning some new tricks I think that she is trying to show off to Sam this is her new vanishing movie routine. She empties all the movies and magically appears int he movie case. Tada!

Evie managed to get her door open yesterday while she was supposed to be napping. When we found her she was fully asleep precariously balanced on the stairs

I can't believe it but we have started to give Sam some rice cereal and while he does not really like it he does not really hate it either.

Smiles

Our day so far.

Evie thinking she found a new napping spot.

 The  awesome slide we build.

So today Sam enjoyed sitting at the table.  Not sure what the difference was.  Probably the pizza.

Evie smiling for the camera.  Yes, she is such a little girl, and has to change her clothes several times a day.

Found

So, We found the camera.  Yay.  Here are the kids recently.
Evie is loving summer and loves the water.
I thought Sam might like to sit at the table with us.  Nope. Despite his expression here he is actually getting to be a lot happier now a days.

What Happens Now

So, what do we do with two kids now.  Well I think they are starting to get "along".  Instead of Evie trying to "carry" the baby, aka pull on his head,  she tries to teach him things, like how to play monopoly.
Evie decided I wasn't getting her breakfast quick enough one morning and decided to help herself.
Inevitably, Some copying is going to happen.  Here is Evie taking baby out for a walk.
Father's Day was this past week and Evie, having a wonderfully great father, painted a picture for him, and loved it.
Sam got a white shirt to wear to church and any other nice occasion.  Doesn't he look dapper.
Another teaching moment.  Evie is showing him how to play the music on the toy and then clap his hands during the song.  Such a good older sister.

Birthday Cuteness ( a short blog story)

So, Evie had a birthday and is now 2.  I can't believe she is that old already.

The camera and I were having issues.  Thus, we don't have more pictures of birthday celebrations.

And, here is the cuteness of our son enjoying the swing.

Version 2.0 and Yardwork

For those of you who may have known and those of you who did not know we have a new addition to our family. Meet our dear little boy. As is the case with most babies he is fulfilling every iota of his job. He is a good eater, he is a good sleeper, and my wardrobe will never be the same.

Thus far Evie and Sam have had some encounters and I don't think either is quite sure about each other. Although big sister is certainly trying to be a "helpful" as she can.

Here are a couple cute pictures of him.

It was nice to have Dad here for a week to help Mom with the transition to having two kids although some how help with the kids transitioned into yard work but it did keep Evie occupied. She has had a lot of fun "working" with Dad in the yard..

She pulled some leaves off of weeds ...

taught Dad some new improved mulching techniques...

and taught Dad a thing or too about proper mowing technique.

As any good worker knows when the work is done it is time to relax. I'd say that Evie has the right idea but I think at the moment a good night sleep would be nice.

Words, Words, Words

Hi Reader,
I haven't charged the batteries in the camera, thus no blog because there aren't any cute pictures that I have to post.  I have learned a few things lately so here you get my thoughts instead of cute Evie pictures.
1.  A sick Evie is WAY different than an Evie that feels well.  She got sick and I forgot that she is such a lively happy girl, I guess I forgot some time in that week of cuddling her on the couch day and night. (Speaking of nights I think part of her was reminding us not to get to comfortable sleeping through the night).
2. How to entertain a toddler:  Get large box, insert the following items: blanket, stuffed animal, book, tea set, and child.  It was awesome.  She read the book to her Simba, "fed" him, danced with him, and "took a nap".
3. It is cheaper for us to deliver a baby than it is for me to hear,  but I am so blessed that we can pay for both, and I know that a baby is more than just upfront costs that have to be paid (yes I know the grammar is wrong here).
4.  Today is week 33 of pregnancy 2 (have I mentioned that? it is a boy) anyway, an aunt asked me a while back if I had forgotten what it felt like to be pregnant and give birth and if I was ready to have another baby.  The answer, Yes, I think it is a survival technique that women forget some things (by some women I mean me).

Have a great day, if you need me I'll be in a box taking a nap.

Christmas

Hi, remember us.  Well, Christmas time came and it was awesome.
Evie was a lot more aware of things this year and squealed at having new toys.
Here she is with her kitchen set (I have a few blurry pictures of her with this).
Yes, she is in the shopping cart on the phone cooking something.
 Grinning for the camera.
And in her new dress with her hamster in a ball.
